SCALE AND IMPACT
We identified BANANA FIBER to be one of the most sustainable fibers to date. Limited by the economics of fiber extraction, we’re thinking about this problem differently.
There aren’t too many natural ways to process the banana pseudostem–the trunk of the plant–into fiber, but we’ve identified a way.
The fiber is there.
The economics are challenging.
Our markets are broad — but we’re aiming to commoditize a waste product without sacrificing performance, quality, or impact.
In order to fight climate change, we are working with the largest farming communities around the world, developing a biochemical process, and engaging with farmers at the farm-level to focus on soil health and farmer well-being.
When we are successful, the world wins.
Today, we are seeking funding to help us in the development phase of our industrial
systems; from farm to material manufacturing and supply chain management.
